AB MAGNA Floating-Head Debarker
The AB MAGNA Floating-Head Debarker is an industrial machine designed to remove bark from logs in an efficient, safe, and continuous manner. Its robust construction makes it an excellent choice for sawmills, forestry facilities, and industries requiring durable equipment for heavy-duty operation.
It is manufactured from heavy-duty industrial steel, providing high structural strength and durability under demanding working conditions. It is equipped with a 15 HP three-phase head motor, delivering the power required for consistent and efficient debarking.
Its 12-inch-diameter floating head adapts to the contour of the log, helping maintain improved contact with the wood throughout the process. The head also features variable speed, allowing performance to be adjusted according to the wood species and operational requirements.
The machine can process logs up to 20 feet long and 35 inches in diameter, making it suitable for handling large material. It incorporates a 7.5 HP hydraulic-pump motor that powers the movement and operating systems.
It features variable-speed, reversible rotating rollers, powered by a 5 HP motor, allowing the operator to control the feeding, rotation, and positioning of the log during debarking. It also includes discharge arms to simplify material handling after processing.
Operation is controlled through a lever-operated control station and a Motor Control Center (MCC) with control buttons and levers. An emergency-stop button is included for increased operational safety.
The machine is also available with either a steel-tooth or tungsten-carbide-tooth head, allowing it to be adapted to different operating conditions and levels of wear.
